Abstract
Nam, S.S., Park, H.Y., Moon, H.W., Sunoo, S. Influence of short-term intermittent hypoxic training in incremental and fixed type of hypobaric hypoxic condition on hematological parameters and aerobic performance. Exercise Science, 16(4): 383-392, 2007. The aim of present study was to investigate the influence of short-term intermittent hypoxic training in incremental and fixed type of hypobaric hypoxic condition on hematological parameters and aerobic performance. For the present study, untrained subjects were divided into incremental hypoxic condition training group(male: 7, female: 6), fixed hypoxic condition training group(male: 9, female: 6), and normoxic condition training group(male: 8, female: 7). And the training operated total 6 times in two weeks that consist of 60min at a 75%HRmax(bicycle exercise 30min and treadmill exercise 30min). Incremental hypoxic condition training group exposure to corresponding to 3,000m(526torr) and 4,000m(462torr) altitude at two times, 5,000m(405torr) and 5,500m(379torr) altitude at one time. And the fixed hypoxic training group exposure to corresponding to 2,000m(596torr) altitude at six times. For the evaluate of training effect, hematological parameters and aerobic performance were measured in pre and post training at sea-level and corresponding to 5,000m altitude. As a result, short-term intermittent hypoxic training improved aerobic performance and this effect was remarkably presented in male and increased hypoxic condition training group.
