청소년의 부모-자녀 상호작용과 자기이해, 진로계획성의 구조적 관계: 종단적 변화 검증

초록

본 연구에서는 한국교육종단연구(Korean Educational Longitudinal Study)2013의 2차~5차 년도 데이터를 사용하여청소년기 학습자의 부모-자녀 상호작용과 진로계획성의 예측 변화를 잠재성장모형(Latent Growth Modeling)을 통하여관찰하고자 하였다. 이와 더불어 부모-자녀 상호작용과 진로계획성의 관계에서 학습자의 자기이해의 매개효과를검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모-자녀 상호작용의 초기값과 변화율은 학습자의자기이해 초기값과 변화율을 정적으로 모두 유의하게 예측하였다. 둘째, 자기이해 초기값은 진로계획성의 초기값을정적으로 강하게 예측하였으나 진로계획성 변화율은 부적으로 예측하였고 자기이해 변화율은 진로계획성 변화율은정적으로 예측하였다. 셋째, 부모-자녀 상호작용 초기값은 진로계획성 초기값과 진로계획성 변화율을 정적으로 예측하였다. 마지막으로 부모-자녀 상호작용 변화율은 진로계획성 초기값을 유의하게 예측한 반면 부모-자녀 상호작용 변화율이진로계획성 변화율을 예측하는 경로는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이와 같은 연구결과는 부모-자녀의 상호작용정도에 따라 청소년기 학습자의 자기이해의 수준이 달라질 수 있으며 부모와의 관계 형성에 따라 자신의 대한 기대수준과미래 진로에 관한 가치 형성이 다양하게 나타날 수 있음을 의미한다. 즉, 부모-자녀 관계가 청소년기 학습자의 진로계획성을직접적으로 예측하기 보다는 부모-자녀 간 상호작용을 통한 자신의 이해 수준이 매개하는 효과가 높을 수 있다는것으로 해석할 수 있다. 이와 관련하여 청소년기 학습자의 발달 시기에 따른 진로계획성의 특성과 환경적 요소가자기이해로 형성되는 과정을 기대-가치 이론에 입각하여 설명하였다.

Abstract

In this study, we used the data from the 2nd to 5th years of the Korean Educational Longitudinal Study(2013) to find out the changes in the predictions of parent-child interaction and career planning of adolescent learners through the Latent Growth Modeling. In addition, we tried to verify the mediating effect of learner's self - understanding in the relationship between parent-child interaction and career planning. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the initial value and the change rate of the parent-child interaction statistically predicted both the learner's self-understanding initial value and the change rate statistically. Second, the initial value of self-understanding predicted strongly the initial value of career planning, but the career planning change rate was predicted negatively. The self-understanding rate of change predicted the career planning change rate statically. Third, the initial value of parent-child interaction statistically predicted the initial value of career planning and the change rate of career planning. Finally, while the parent-child interaction rate of change predicted the initial value of career planning, the path of change of parent-child interaction rate predicted the change of career planning rate was not statistically significant. The results of this study suggest that the level of self-understanding of adolescents may vary according to the degree of parent-child interaction, and the value formation of their expectations and future career may be varied depending on the formation of relationships with parents. In other words, it can be interpreted that the parent-child relationship may be more mediated by the level of self-understanding through parent-child interaction rather than directly predicting the career planning of adolescent learners. In this regard, the process of forming the characteristics and environmental factors of career planning according to the developmental stage of learner's self-understanding is explained based on the expectation- value theory.
