Abstract
For civic education to succeed, it is important to learn and acquire the factors necessary for students to become good citizens, but it is also very important to understand the various factors and influences that prevent them from becoming good citizens. Behavioral ethics is a branch of ethics that examines how individuals make moral decisions and engage in ethical behavior. It combines insights from psychology, sociology, and cognitive science to understand the factors that influence human behavior and shape ethical decision-making. The research findings of behavioral ethics provide us with detailed information on how individuals make ethical decisions and behave in ethical situations. Therefore, behavioral ethics is very important in civic education because it provides insight into various factors that influence ethical decision-making and helps promote ethical behavior in society. By understanding these factors, citizens of a democratic society can make more informed ethical choices and contribute to a more just and ethical community. Accordingly, this article focused on revealing what civic education is like from the lens of behavioral ethics and why it is important at this point.
