Abstract
This article examines whether the electoral success of the Green parties in European Parliament(EP) elections implies the Europeanization of the elections. In so doing, it compares the electoral contexts between the Swedish Green party and the Finnish Green party and analyzes the impact of it on voters’ choice in 2019 EP elections. Results show that one of domestic environmental issues, the nuclear power plant issue, has differentiated the electoral performance of the two parties by influencing the division of voter groups in each country. They in turn support for the existing argument that the Green parties tend to strengthen the pan-European characteristic of EP elections through their electoral campaigns.
