본 연구는 중국에서 외국인직접투자가 가장 많이 집중한 지역인 강소성을 대상으로 외국인직접투자의 효율성을 분석한다. 특히 본 연구는 외국인직접투자가 상대적으로 집중되고 있는 제조업을 대상으로 효율성을 분석 비교한다. 본 연구는 3단계 DEA 방법을 이용하여 강소성의 제조업23개 업종의 외국인직접투자의 효율성을 분석하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 강소성의 제조업의 외국인직접투자의 효율성은 높지 않다. 그리고 외국인직접투자가 상대적으로 집중하고 있는 5개 업종의 효율성이 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 강소성의 제조업 중 외국인직접투자가 가장집중된 통신설비·컴퓨터 및 기타 전자설비제조업은 효율성이 전체 제조업 보다 낮다. 그리고 규모에 대한 수익도 규모수익체증을 나타내고 있다. 이는 통신설비·컴퓨터 및 기타 전자설비제조업이다른 업종과 비교할 때 지나치게 비대하다는 것을 의미한다.
Abstract
This study analyzes and compares the efficiency of China Jiangsu province’s manufacturing industries where foreign direct investment is relatively concentrated. This study analyzes the efficiency of foreign direct investment in 23 manufacturing industries in Jiangsu province using the three-stage DEA method. According to the analysis results, the efficiency of foreign direct investment in Jiangsu province's manufacturing industry is not high. In addition, the efficiency of five manufacturing industries where foreign direct investment is relatively concentrated is relatively low. In particular, the manufacturing industry of communications equipment, computers, and other electronic equipment, which has the highest concentration of foreign direct investment among manufacturing industries in Jiangsu Province, has lower efficiency than the overall manufacturing industry. In addition, the returns to scale also show increasing returns to scale. This means that the manufacturing industry of communications equipment, computers, and other electronic equipment is excessively large compared to other industries.
