중국의 외국인직접투자의 지역별 효율성 비교

Abstract

The FDI plays an important role China economic growth and regional economic development. This paper analyzes the efficiency of the FDI in China. This paper uses the DEA method. In particular, this paper uses the DEA-Window method to minimize the effect of out-liners. The input variables include the fixed assets(original value of fixed assets) and the business cost(cost of principle business), and the output variables include the business revenue(revenue of principle business) and the total profits. The empirical study period sets to 2001-2012, because the FDI concentrated to this period. Some researches directly use the FDI to the input variable, but this paper use the indicators of the second industry from firm level. The results find that the efficiency of FDI annually is improved from 2001 to 2012. The efficiencies of FDI in regions are different. The efficiency of the Beijing, Tianjin, Jilin, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Hubei, Neimenggu, Qinghai, Chongqing, Hainan are higher than the national average level, but the other regions are lower than the national average level. The result also find that the efficiency’s the FDI concentrated regions relatively higher than another regions.
