Abstract

The purpose of this study was to verify whether the volume of working memory and the load of executive function has difference on accuracy of targe-directed walking performance. Participants included 10 current students in universities, and 10 individuals with 2∼3 levels of intellectual disabilities who participate life physical education in community welfare center. All participations performed two types of task which was walking performance immediately after identification of target of 3, 5, 7 m distance and walking performance after identification of target and then subtraction calculation within 10 seconds. The error of targe-directed walking distance were observed. As the results, individual without intellectual disability compared with individual with intellectual disability appeared significantly high accuracy and consistency on target-directed locomotion also the difference of error between two groups were more grower in condition with executive function than in condition without executive function load. How to apply this results to the field of adaptation physical education was discussed
