Abstract
The purpose of this study was to elucidate the characteristics and causes of movements of the developmental disabled who have difficulties in learning and performing motor skills, focusing on the sensory system, sensory motor, and perceptual motor reaction, Understanding the process of motor development can help to diagnose disability problems in children with developmental disabilities and to construct a guidance strategy. Therefore, we reviewed the motor development model which supports the motor development process together with the sensory integration model, the perceptual motion model, and the ecological model. This overview is useful for special physical education leaders as a framework for measurement assessment and intervention. Based on the developmental model, the results of this study need to be measured and diagnosed by persons with developmental disabilities. Based on the results of the diagnosis, it is necessary to construct the exercise instruction strategy by integrating sensory integration model, perceptual exercise model, and ecological model.
