본 연구의 목적은 학령기 발달장애 아동의 인지기능 개선을 위한 신체활동 프로그램 개발에 요구되는 실행 요소가 무엇인지 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 연구 참여자 선정기준을 마련하고 이에 부합하는 대학교수 4 명, 특수체육 및 치료서비스 기관의 관리자 3명, 지도자 4명, 특수학교 교사 3명을 면담 대상자로 선정하였 다. 자료수집은 반구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 심층면담을 진행하였으며, 수집된 자료는 귀납적 범주분석을 적용하여 분석하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 도출된 결과로는 첫째, 신체활동 지도 시 나타나는 발달장애 아동 의 인지기능 특성은 주의집중의 어려움, 일반화의 어려움, 실행기술의 제한, 자기중심적 반응, 감각통합 및 지각의 제한으로 나타났다. 또한 발달장애 아동의 인지기능 개선을 위한 신체활동 프로그램 개발 시 고려해 야 할 실행요소는 다양한 움직임 경험, 규칙 만들기, 확장적 과제 제시, 자발적 수행 유도, 사회적 기술 학습, 수용적 환경 조성, 개별화된 인지과제 제시로 범주화되었다. 이러한 결과는 발달장애 아동의 인지기능 개선 을 위한 체계적인 신체활동 프로그램의 개발과 효과검증, 그리고 지도자들이 활용할 수 있는 매뉴얼 개발에 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the implementation components of physical activity program to improve cognitive function of school-age children with developmental disabilities. To this end, the research participant selection criteria were prepared, and 14 experts were selected as interviewees. Data were collected by depth interview using semi-structured questionnaires and were analyzed by applying inductive category analysis. As a result of this process, first, cognitive function characteristics of children with developmental disabilities appearing during physical activity instruction were found to be difficulty in attention, difficulty in generalization, limitations in executive skills, egocentric reactions, and sensory integration and limitations ofperception. In addition, implementation components of a physical activity program to improve cognitive function of children with developmental disabilities were categorized into variety of movement experiences, rule making, presentation of extended task, induction of voluntary performance, learning social skills, receptive environment, and presentation of individualized cognitive task.
