Abstract
This study attempts to explore factors which influences on satisfaction in movie viewing experiences. To identify satisfaction factors on movie viewing experience, this study investigate experience in screening room. Since central experience is experienced in screening room. And, to examine central experience of movie viewing, we referred performance and service literature. But, while performance viewing has strong service characteristic, movie viewing has the middle characteristic between service and goods. So, we approached at movie viewing through modification of performance study. The fundamental framework was used similarly with previous studies, but details was adjusted according to movie viewing. On that score, we divide viewing experience into movie attributes, physical surroundings, audiences based on performance and service research. Also, to reflect differences from performance study, dimension and contents included at each category (movie attributes, physical surroundings, audiences) is based at in-depth interview. In-depth interview take effect to expert (people who participate at movie manufacture) and nonexpert, then factor analysis take effect to grasp dimensions and structures. Dimensions which we discover include character, story, dialogue, music, backset, photographing/editing, facility, chair, audience manners, audience interaction. We tested in-depth interview results making use of stepwise regression and looked into factors of satisfaction in different involvement groups. In results, satisfaction factors in low involvement include character, story, photographing/editing and satisfaction factors in high involvement include character, dialogue, music, audience manners, photographing/editing, audience interaction.
