이 연구는 1 세기 신약성서에 반영된 바울-디모데 리더십의 도전 및 승계에 관한 주석적 고찰이다. 예수의 죽음과 부활 이후 예수의 추종자들은 구심점을 잃었지만, 이 반향으로 복음 전파 활동이 급속도로 진행되었다. 이후 예루살렘교회를 중심으로 하는‘사도’는 유대인의 각성을 위한 포석이 되었고, 초기 기독교 공동체의 선구자 역할을 감당했다. 제자들의 행보는 예루살렘교회라는 거대한 권위 그룹을 형성했고, 이를 중심으로지역에 복음 전도자들을 파송했다. 그러나 지나치게 편중된 토라 중심적 가르침은 그리스도의 복음을 희석했고 급기야 토라의 복음 대 예수의 복음으로 갈리게 되었다. 이 과정에서 예루살렘교회의 리더십(Leadership)과는 전혀 다른 통로로서 새로운 권위가 발생하게 되는데, 그것이 바울의 리더십이다. 이 지점에서 바울의 권위를 살피는 일은 미룰 만한 일이 아니다. 무엇보다 그는 예루살렘 리더십 중심부를 벗어나서 ‘사도’라는 자부심으로 지역 공동체를 방문하며 복음을전하던 1 세대 방랑 카리스마 지도자였다. 또 팔레스타인의 변두리가 아닌 헬레니즘 세계의 도시 사회를 주로 여행하며 지역 공동체의 개척자로 활동했으며 동시에 2 세대 지역 공동체 내의 지도자들의 권위 형성에 지대한 영향을 준 인물이기도 하다. 이러한 바울의 영향력은 향후 2 세대 지역 공동체의 지도자들- 디모데, 디도 등-이교회의 본질을 고수하고, 그리스도의 복음을 중심으로 하는 목회적 리더십을 형성하는데 있어서 중요한 위치를 차지했음을 가늠할 수 있다.
Abstract
This study deals with the Exegetical reinterpretation on the challengers and succession of Paul-Timothy leadership in the New Testament of the 1st century. After Jesus' death and resurrection, The Followers of Jesus disoriented, but the repercussion led to the Activities of Missionary rapidly. And then ‘Apostoleos’centered on Jerusalem church became a stepping stone for Jewish spiritual awakening and served as a precursor in the early Christian community. A Walk of the disciples formed the huge authority group called Jerusalem church, which sent evangelists to the region. However the overwhelmingly Torah-centered teaching diluted the gospel of Christ and divided into the gospel of Torah versus the gospel of Jesus. In this process, a new authority emerges as a completely different channel from the Leadership of Jerusalem church: Paul’s leadership. It’s no longer worth delaying to reconsider Paul's authority at this point. Above all, he was the first generation of wandering charismatic leader, visiting local communities to share the gospel with the pride of ‘Apostolos’. He also traveled mainly to urban societies in the Hellenistic period rather than to the fringe of Palestine and acted as a pioneer in his community. At the same time he had a profound influence on the authority formation of the second-generation leaders within the community. We can see that Paul’s influence was instrumental in shaping the two second-generation leaders- Timothy and Titus etc.- to keep the essence of the Jerusalem church and he was in an important position to shape the pastoral leadership centered on the gospel of Christ.
