초대교회의 리더십 승계의 모델과 기능- 사도행전 1:9-11과 사회과학적 비평의 관점을 중심으로 -

본 논문의 목적은 신약성서의 리더십 승계 유형에 대한 분석과 이상적인 모델 연구의 중점적인 핵심에는 <예수그리스도-12사도(제자들)>의 리더십 승계 유형이 있다는 것에 착안하여, 이를 고찰하기 위하여 사도행전 1장 9-11절에 나오는 예수 승천단락에 반영된 예수-제자들의 리더십 승계 유형 을 분석하려는 것이다. 따라서 예수-제자들 리더십 VS 엘리야-엘리사 리더 십 패턴을 비교 연구하려는 것이다. 예를 들어 최신 연구로는 국내의 정종성 (2013) 등과 국외의 John S. Kloppenborg와 Joseph Verheyden이 공동 편 집한 The Elijah-Elisha Narrative in the Competition of Luke(2014) 등에서도 다루 어지고 있으나, 신학적인 관점과 수사학적 관점 등으로 엘리야와 세례요한 이 닮았고 엘리야가 예수와 공통점이 있다는 등등의 유비를 통해서 새롭게 보려고 시도하였으나 다소 미진한 상태에 있다. 그 이전에 연구된 켈리 (Joseph G. Kelly, 1984)를 비롯한 일군의 학자들이 사도행전 1장의 예수의 승천 단락에서 예수-제자들의 리더십 승계와 엘리야-엘리사 리더십 승계의 유사성과 연관성에 대해서 매우 구체적으로 비교하여 다루고 있으나 그 차 이점과 개별적인 신약성서의 누가-행전의 개별적인 중점 사항을 간과하고 있어서 매우 설득력이 부족하고 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 예수-제자들의 리 더십 승계와 엘리야-엘리사 리더십 승계를 임파워링 리더십과 함께 사회과 학적 관점에서 새롭게 해석하였다. 누가공동체는 동양사상의 체계순환론의 두 번째 단계인 수성기(守成期)에 속하여 수성 리더십이 필요하였다고 보았 다.
Abstract
This essay aims to analyze types of leadership succession between Jesus and his disciples reflected in the ascension of Jesus in Acts 1:9-11, which rep- resents an ideal model of leadership succession in the New Testament. By comparing the empowering leadership of Jesus-disciples and that of Elijah-Elisha, this paper offers an innovative and novel model of leadership succession. There are some recent literatures, such as The Elijah-Elisha Narrative in the Competition of Luke, eds. by John S. Kloppenborg and Joseph Verheyden, which attempted to present new perspectives, but they still need further development. Specifically, previous studies by Joseph G. Kelly and other scholars provided sophisticated accounts of affinities and re - latedness between the leadership succession of Jesus-disciples and that of Elijah-Elisha, but they overlooked differences and special foci of the Luke-Acts. Therefore, this essay presents a rigorous comparative analysis be- tween the leadership succession of Jesus-disciples and that of Elijah-Elisha from social scientific perspectives.
