본 논문은 사도 바울의 리더십이 공동 사역을 통해 분명히 드러남을 지적한다. 이는 사도의 목회의 근본적인 특징이며, 이는 크게 지도권을 공유하는 것과 상호 협력적 사역을 한 것을 통해 드러난다. 첫째, 바울은 자신의 목회 사역에서 팀 사역을 이끌어 왔는데, 이는 단순히 팀을 의미하는 것이 아니라 자신의 사역권 위임과 공유를 통해 구체화 시켰음을 볼 수 있다. 예를 들어, 자신이 목회할 수 없을 때 대리인을 파송했을 때 그에게 자신이 행사한 목회의 권한을 부여한 것, 서신을 작성할 때 공동 발신자의 위치에 동역자들을 두어 역할을 강화한 것, 더 나아가 사역 후기에 여러 교회에 자신의 후계자들을 세움으로 사역을 공유한 것을 통해 드러난다. 둘째, 바울은 교회를 운영하고 그 가운데 성도들을 대함에 있어 단순히 지도자-성도의 상하의 구조에서 목회를 진행하지 않고, 분명 역할의 구분을 두었으나, 하나님 앞에서 상호 세워가는 부탁을 시도한 것을 통해 목회를 시도했음이 드러난다. 또한, 성도들에 대한 소유권을 주장하지 않고 오직 그들을 자신의 위치처럼 하나님 앞에 그들을 바로 세우는 데 초점을 두었음을 통해서도 드러난다. 바울은 공동 사역의 구체적 실천을 통해 자신에게 맡겨진 사역을 온전히 감당하는 사역자로 인정되었다.
Abstract
This article points out that the true feature of Paul’s leadership is revealed through his strategy of joint ministry. It is the fundamental characteristic of his ministry, which is summarized in both the sharing of leadership and the joint ministry. To practice his strategy of ministry, firstly, Paul led his team ministry, which did not simply mean a team, but it can be seen that he materialized through delegation and sharing of his ministry authority. For example, when he could not minister directly, he sent a representative, in granting him his authority of the ministry and strengthened the role of his co-workers by placing them in the position of the co-senders of his letters. Furthermore, in his last period of ministry, he shared his ministry by establishing his successors in some churches. Secondly, it was revealed that Paul did not proceed with the ministry simply in the hierarchical structure between a leader and the believers in church. Instead, he attempted pastoral ministry through trying to establish mutual community in front of God though there was some distinction of role in church. And it was shown by not claiming dominion of church members, but focusing only on setting them right before God as he did. Through concrete practice of his joint ministry, Paul turned out to be a minister who fully fulfilled the ministry entrusted to him.
