Abstract

Disruption of consciousness is the distinct features of Yoon-Dongju’spoetry. That consistently inheres in his poem from the beginning to the last. The ‘BOOKANDO’ which is the original experience in his peotry is hishometown and foreign country. He was a third-generation of the Korean Diaspora in the China. The‘BOOKANDO’ is the place which areas of the confucian tradition coexistwith areas of the Christian culture and the Western culture. This area was a base for resistance movement for anti-Japanese andwasn’t direct ruled by the Japan. There are duplex extensity of the‘BOOKANDO’ in Yoon-Dongju’s poetry. The ‘BOOKANDO’ means hishometown as a returning place and the other hometown as a stopover at thesame time for him. Also self-examination what is essential feature of his poetry is looked likeduplicity. His poetry for self-examination is divided poetic ego into reflectiveconsciousness and realistic consciousness. Disruption of consciousness in hispoetry is recognized as important. Because this is working as motivity forhis inner side. And the devided ego edifies his consciousness and renewshis consciousness. His disruption of consciousness becomes the feature ofarbitrary disruption in case of active occurrence. At this time there are clearwill of resistance in his poetry. This disruption of the poetic subject is a foundation that holds on topostcoloniality. Homi Bhabha mentioned that disruption of ego is the waythat hybrid resistance revolts against the discourse of colonization. As aresult the reason that regards Yoon-Dongju as a poet of resistance comesfrom disruption of the poetic subject.
