韓・日両語の提示の補助動詞研究 ― 「-てみせる」の意味と翻訳様相について ―

Abstract

In this paper, we have considered how “te-miseru” is actually translated into Korean, and in what cases it is translated in a certain manner. Specifically, we clarified the aspects of translation in relation to the meanings of “te-miseru”: ‘Presentation of an object’, ‘presentation of action’, ‘presentation of facial expression and gesture’, and ‘presentation of result’. In the case of ‘presentation of object,’ the rate of translation as “ᴐ-poida” was the highest (56.8%), and the rate of omission was the lowest (34.1%). This is supposed to be because the purpose of presentation is not to show the movement itself, but to intentionally explain how the object was presented, making it difficult to intentionally omit it. In the case of ‘presentation of result’, “te-miseru” was translated as “ᴐ-poida” the least frequently (13.5%), and the rate of omission was the highest (53.9%). In addition, it was pointed out that the number of examples of translation in other forms is the most (32.6%) compared to other meanings of “te-miseru”, and that it is translated as “ᴐ-neda”, “ko-malda”, and “ᴐ-pᴐrida”, which express the meaning of completion. In the case of ‘presentation of facial expression and gesture’ and ‘presentation of action’, the number of cases where they are translated as “ᴐ-poida” and the number of cases where they are omitted are similar. However, we pointed out that in the case of ‘presentation of facial expressions and gestures’, there are no cases that are translated into a different form, whereas in the case of ‘presentation of action’, there were some cases (12.8%) where the word was translated into other forms such as “-chuk hada,” “-chorom poida,” and “-che hada”.
