외국인 학습자를 대상으로 한 한국 정서 한(恨)에 대한 이해 교육 연구-남도 사람(서편제, 소리의 빛, 선학동나그네)을 중심으로-
A Pedagogical Study of Understanding of Korean Emotion ‘Han’ for Foreign Learners

This paper tries to get the foreign students studying at Korean universities to understand Korean ‘Han(恨)’ effectively for the intercultural sympathy and communication. The emotion of Korean Han is very important cultural element which is necessary to understand Korean. This paper selects the Korean series of novel(『남도사람』) that show the singularity of Korean Han. It also intends to make foreign students read the novel, write the book report, and have discussions of Han with other students. In the reading process, foreign students try to understand the novel’s theme, plot, and conflict of characters. In the writing process, they try to understand deeply the characteristics of Han in the course of presenting their idea and feeling about events of the novel. Especially in the discussion process, they can modify and make up for their former cognition and feeling about Han through feedback process. It is said that foreign students are able to make sense that Korean Han is the emotion of the anger, resentment, sorrow, as well as forgiveness, sublimation generating from the harmony with nature in this paper.
