한국어 교육에서의 AI 활용에 대한 한국어 교사들의 인식 연구

Abstract

This study aims to investigate Korean language teachers' interest in, understanding of, and experience with AI, as well as their expectations and concerns regarding AI technologies. The research aims to understand the diverse perspectives teachers hold about AI and, based on these insights, to propose more practical and effective ways of integrating AI into Korean language education. To this end, a quantitative survey was conducted among instructors in the field of Korean language education, and qualitative research was carried out through in-depth interviews with instructors who have experience using AI in their teaching. A triangulation approach was applied to develop quantitative survey items and semi-structured interview questions focused on the role and application of AI in the educational setting. The collected data were analyzed for reliability and validity, and the expert interview findings were organized to complement the survey results. The findings revealed that text-generating AI and translation AI can enhance the potential for personalized instruction by allowing teachers to provide prompt feedback on learners' writing and pronunciation. Many Korean language teachers recognized AI as a useful supplementary tool in education and evaluated it positively, particularly in terms of saving time and improving efficiency in lesson preparation and learner feedback. The study thus highlights the significance of enhancing teachers’AI literacy and promoting further research and practice of AI-based educational models in language learning for educational innovation.
