독자의 한패-되기 고찰 - 들뢰즈와 과타리의 천 개의 고원 10장 중 ‘어느 마법사의 회상 1’을 토대로 -

Abstract

This discussion explored the collectivity inherent in readers’ understanding of texts. The basis for this discussion is the content about becoming-animal in ‘Memories of a Sorcerer 1’ from Chapter 10 of Deleuze and Guattari’s A Thousand Plateaus. Becoming-animal is when an individual creates the characteristics of a group of animals and becomes a member of that group. When an individual becomes a member of a specific group, it can be called ‘becoming-party.’ In order to ‘becoming-party’, an individual must creates and possess the specific physical or cognitive abilities of the group. The collectivity is also involved in readers’ understanding of texts. Readers read and understand a text as a group of readers. Each individual reader practices ‘becoming-reader party’ by creating the reading method of a group of readers. The becoming- reader party is achieved by being guided by the reading method of a group of readers, forming an alliance with a group of readers, creating oneself as a group of readers, and performing activities as a group of readers. Readers become actual readers by becoming a group of readers, and becoming a group of readers is repeated every time they meet a group of readers. As a result, the reader continues to change through self-creation.
