Abstract

This article aims to redefine Deleuze’s philosophical concept ‘event’ into three concepts which he didn’t subdivide proposedly. In general, we distinguish Ideal event(capital case) that implicates virtuality and other events (lower case) that are explicated as an actuality; and the latter is partitioned into two different events in reference to what is focused argument. One is the Stoic event as a momentum to induce the transformation of a subject, which is named as the ‘existential event'. The other is the Leibnizian event that executes as a divergent point involved the presence of the new world that is never exist before, which is named as the 'universal event'. On one hand, it elucidates internal consistency of Logic of Sense and to trace his thought between Logic of Sense and The Fold. On the other hand, it discloses Deleuze’s intrinsic attitude as a ‘belief’ rather than ‘knowledge’ facing the actual event in advance of ‘un coup de dés’ to the point of accidental or contingent. Each events derive a certain ethical attitude; firstly, a sustained act of pure affirmation in the ideal events; secondly, the spiritual will of Joë Bousquet which is born from the wounds and scars and the inclination for death to make accident over to event in the existential event; lastly, positive involvement declaring compossibility with pre-existed world facing the advent of new world in the universal event. Hereby, Deleuze’s concept of event is stipulated in a different way; Event is the affirmation of eternal recurrence in the dice-throw where his ethics is demonstrated as the belief to the life.
