이 연구에서는 스포츠에서 과학기술의 발달로 인한 개입한도와 기준 문제를 논의하고 그에 대한 방향성을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 먼저 과학기술의 적용을 허용하는 사례와 금지하는 사례를 조사하였다. 이후 과학기술의 개입 기준이 모호한 것을 도핑, 의료 기술, 장애인 선수의 장비, 종목별 필수 장비 등으로 구분하여 논의를 진행하였다. 결국 규칙을 정할 때, 명확한 기준이 없었던 요소들은 논란이 끊이지 않는다. 해당 종목의정체성을 확고히 하는 것이 우선인데, 그러한 과정을 생략했기 때문이다. 과학의 개입한도와 기준의 문제는 규칙의제정이나 제도의 보완도 중요하지만, 인간의 생각과 철학이 변해야 하는 문제이다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 논의의 필요성을 제기하는 데 도움이 될 수 있을 것이라 생각한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to discuss the issues of intervention limits and standards due to the development of science and technology in sports, and to suggest directions for them. To achieve this purpose, first, cases that allow and prohibit the application of science and technology were investigated. Since then, discussions have been conducted on the ambiguous criteria for intervention of science and technology by dividing them into doping, medical technology, equipment for athletes with disabilities, and essential equipment for each sport. In the end, controversy continues over factors that did not have clear standards when setting the rules. The priority is to solidify the identity of the event, because such a process has been omitted. The issue of the limits and standards of science intervention is that the enactment of rules or supplementation of systems is important, but human thoughts and philosophy must change. I think this study can help raise the need for such discussion.
