이 연구는 도핑을 과학기술 결과의 부정적 측면으로 간주하고, 반도핑의 스포츠사회가 함축하고 있는 의미에 관하여 해석을 시도하였다. 스포츠에서 과학기술은 선수의 안전을 도모하고, 심판의 정확한 판정을 위해서 필요할 뿐만 아니라 선수의 경기력 향상에 절대적 영향을 미친다. 이러한 사실들로 미루어 볼 때, 스포츠는 과학기술과 절대적 상관관계에 있다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 사실 제한적이기는 하지만 과학기술의 발전은 스포츠가 지닌 가치를 내·외적으로 파괴 하는 일면을 지닌다. 현대 스포츠사회의 도핑과 같은 과학기술의 부작용으로 인해 발생되는 위험성, 게임에 대한 존중성 결여, 불공정한 이점을 야기 시키는 문제점들은 스포츠사회에서 과학기술의 절대적 수용에 제지를 가하게 되었다. 그래서 반도핑 정책이 대두된 것이고, 반도핑의 스포츠 사회는 단순하게 과학기술의 금지만을 표명하고 있는 것이 아니라 오히려 스포츠가 지닌 가치에 대해 의미를 부여할 수 있는 계기를 내포하고 있다. 이는 곧 스포츠 정신을 보호하고, 스포츠 주체자를 염두에 둔 완전한 스포츠로 나아가기 위한 적극적인 대안 방법이라는데 주목할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This study was to reinterpret the meaning of sports society which has been under the anti-doping policy regarding sports technology as a negative result of science. The technology based on science positively supports determining a technology's safety for athletes, developing methods to detect the use of banned technologies like doping, cheating, and determining whether technologies enhance athletic performance. As these reasons, it would be possible that sports rely on the technology. Doping, however, causes serious side effect, unfairness and defames the respect for game so that the absolute permission of the technology in sports was controled by the background of anti-doping. In this contemporary sports society in which has been doping toward only winning emphasizes that the anti-doping position is actually an active way to protect spirit of sport and to develop sport for human beings instead.
