이 글은 중국 조선어학계에서 펴낸 최신 문법서인 김철준·김광수의 『조선어문법』(2023)의 주요 내용과 특징을 소개하고 약간의 평가를 더하는 것을 목표로 한다. 재외 동포 사회에서 출간된 우리말 문법서는 단순한 학문적 자료가 아닌, 동포들의 민족 언어 학습의 토대를 마련하는 역할을 한다. 중국의 우리말 교육이 어려움에 직면해 있는 현 시점에, 이 책의 출간은 중국 동포의 언어 교육과 연구에 활력소가 되며, 그들의 언어 능력 향상에 기여할 수 있는 중요한 자료의 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구는 이러한 문법서의 출간을 학계에 널리 알릴 필요에서 출발하여, 이 문법서이가 통시적인 관점에서 이전 문법서와 비교해 어떤 변화를 이룩했는지, 공시적인 관점에서 남한의 대표적인 문법서와는 어떤 차이를 보이는지를 고찰하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 이어지는 2장에서는 책의 출간 취지와 체재를 개괄하고, 3장에서는 동일 집필진의 『조선어문법』(2008)과의 비교를 통한 문법 체계와 기술 내용 및 형식의 변화를 다룬다. 4장에서는 『표준국어문법론』(2019)의 기술 체계를 참조물로 삼아, 이 문법서의 문법 내용이 남한의 그거소가 어떻게 대응을 이루는지를 기술한다. 끝으로, 5장에서는 본 서평의 요약과 한계에 대한 기술로 결론을 대신한다.
Abstract
This article aims to introduce the main contents and features of the latest grammar book published by the Korean language community in China, titled Korean Grammar (2023) by Zhejun Jin and Guangzhu Jin, and evaluate its significance. As Korean language education in China faces various challenges, the publication of this book is both timely and beneficial for the language education and research of Korean-Chinese community. It serves as a vital resource to help maintain their language skills and cultural identity. The publication of a grammar book within an overseas Korean community signifies the growth of Korean language research and education, highlighting the importance of their native language. This paper consists of five parts: introduction, an overview of the book, a comparison with previous gramar books, a comparison with South Korean grammar books, and a conclusion. Chapter 2 provides the book overview, and chapters 3 and 4 analyze its key characteristics and significance through diachronic and synchronic comparisons, respectively. The conclusion discusses this paper’s academic contributions and limitations and suggests future directions for Korean language education and grammar research. With this study, we aim to raise awareness of the publication of Korean Grammar (2023) and its potential positive impact on the Korean-Chinese community and the broader field of Korean grammar research.
