This paper deals with the relationship between naval warfare paradigm and weapon systems that is applied with the new technology from each Industrial Revolution through out history. The reason for this research comes from the main concern for the ROK navy to overcome the naval power threat that results from continuous enhancement and development of navy forces in the surrounding countries. For this research, the following hypothesis was made. The advancement in science technology resulted industrial revolution and made vast influence in not only economy and society but also naval weapon systems. Particularly in naval platform, mounted weapons and command and support area which eventuality changed the naval warfare paradigm. Through this process it could be said that the navy which acquired weapon systems with this new technology won the war. To verify the hypothesis, I have studied the Battle of Midway and Battle of the Falkland Islands which each represents the Second and Third Industrial Revolution era. The core achievement of this study is to become the bases of future naval weapon acquisition by suggesting to secure Navy’s weapons systems with the technologies from the Industrial Revolution period and to actively change to naval warfare paradigm shift in order to secure maritime sovereignty.
