오규원의 초기 시론시에 나타난 언어의식 연구 - 김춘수 시의 인유 양상을 중심으로

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the language consciousness of Oh, Kyu-won who had a strong self-consciousness about the language and the poetry method, and to clarify his language consciousness was the basis of his raw image poem. This paper also studies the reason why Oh, Kyu-won did not inherit Kim Chun-soo's poetry and the poetics but he formed his own poem by focusing on the difference in language consciousness between them. Existing research has referred to Oh, Kyu-won's language consciousness as a key element to understand his poems, but it has not shown any further progress beyond his poetics. This paper argues that the reason for this is the repetition and reproduction of the words which are presented in the Oh, Kyu-won's poetics. Based on the poetological poetry of Oh Kyu-won, this paper studies more extensive and concrete discussions on his language consciousness. In particular, Oh, Kyu-won brings Kim, Chun-soo's poetological poetry and changes them to develop his own thinking about the poetic language. In order to find out the subtle difference of two poets who are said to have shared the consciousness of the same problem about language in general, It became a way to look at Oh, Kyu-won's language consciousness hard. Oh, Kyu-won brings the core poetic contexts and vocabularies of Kim Chun-soo's 「The bare tree and the poetry」 to more clearly describe the abstract character of language, while developing thought that language forms a system of illusion that is separate from the real world. Under the belief that there is a language that can leave abstraction unlike Kim Chun-soo, Oh, Kyu-won shows such a language can reach a world of reality that can not be seen in reality called 'fantasy'. His search for embodying this fantasy in the poem, which is beyond abstract, is similar to the thought he showed in the poetics of raw image. Also it shows that his language consciousness has served as the basis to move into the poetics of raw image. While Oh, Kyu-won shared the consciousness of the issue of language limit with Kim Chun-soo this subtle difference of language consciousness served as a base for his own unique poetry. Therefore, the description of the previous studies that Oh, Kyu-won had the same consciousness of language as Kim, Chun-soo should be corrected, and it can be said that Oh Kyu-won has a language consciousness as one of the fundamental basis of forming his own poetics which is different from Kim Chun-soo’s.
