가치의 다양성과 분열은 사람들로 하여금 자신이 표현하는 언어영역에 있어서도 명확한 차이를 드러내게 만든다. 이러한 다양성과 분열은 동시대를 살아가는 사람들에게 때론 새 로운 발전의 의미를, 또 한편으론 심각한 갈등의 확대를 가져온다. 특히 정치영역에서 가치 의 차이와 다양성은 동시대를 바라보는 정치적 시각의 차이와 함께 정책생산의 차이를 가 져오는 근원적 요소로 작용한다. 본 연구는 대통령 취임사 레토릭을 분석함으로써 대통령 의 개인적 가치프레임과 그가 처한 시대적 배경에 대한 해석을 제공하고자 한다. 또한 레 토릭의 다양한 은유를 분석함으로써 정치적 상징 이미지들을 어떻게 조작하고 있으며 이를 통해 대국민 설득을 시도한 공통점과 차이점을 밝혀내고자 한다. 이를 위해 아리스토텔레스(Aristotle)로부터 이어지는 고대 수사학 이론에 근거하여 취임연설 을 분석하고자 한다. 분석대상은 김대중 대통령과 이명박 대통령의 취임연설을 텍스트로 선 정하여 두 취임사의 공통점과 차이점을 확인해보고 그들의 시대정신을 규명해 보고자 한다.
Abstract
Diversity & division of value cause people to expose their clear difference even in language province. Such diversity and division present the people living in the same age with a new meaning of development, but on the other hand, they bring about the extension of serious conflicts between people. Particularly, the difference and diversity in political realm operates as a basic element that causes a difference in policy production together with the difference in political eyesight for the same period. This research intends to offer the interpretation of the President’s personal value frame and background of the times he is faced with by analyzing the rhetoric expressed in the President’s inaugural address. In addition, this research is going to clarify how the rhetoric used in the President’s inaugural address manipulated political symbol images through which it is also delving into the common point and difference in their attempt to persuade the people. For this purpose, this research is analyzing the Presidents’ inaugural address based on the theory of the ancient rhetoric originating from Aristotle, and this research is confirming the common point and difference in the two Presidential inaugural addresses and inquiring into their spirit of the times by selecting those of the President Kim, Dae-jung and Lee Myung-bak as its analysis text.
