본 연구는 인지언어학적 관점에서 물리적 지각에 기반을 둔 스페인어 형용사의 의미 특성 고찰을 목적으로 한다. 이를 통해 신체적 감각의 특징과 동기화된 형용사들의 의미 확장 양상을 체계적으로 살펴보고자 하며, 또한 인간의 생리적 감각과 지각, 이를 기술하는 형용사가 외부 세계와 추상적 대상을 개념화하는 방식에 대해 숙고하는 것도 본 연구의 목적이라 할 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 CREA(Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual)의 용례를 통해 스페인어 지각형용사 oscuro/a, silencioso/a, ruidoso/a, áspero/a, picante, apestoso/a, hediondo/a의 원형의미와 확장의미, 특성 등을 분석하였고, 이로써 은유를 통해 얻어진 이 사례들의 의미 확장의 경향과 신체 작용과의 동기화 원리에 대한 이해를 구하고자 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the semantic characteristics of the Spanish adjectives for the perceptions of the body from a cognitive linguistic point of view. With this, the adjectives' meaning expansion synchronized with the characteristics of the physical senses is systematically examined. Furthermore, it studies how human physiological senses and perceptions and the adjectives describing them conceptualize the external world and the abstract objects. To this end, this study analyzes the examples of CREA(Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual). Among the Spanish perceptual adjectives, the original and extended meanings and the characteristics of oscuro/a, silencioso/a, ruidoso/a, áspero/a, picante, apestoso/a, and hediondo/a are examined. This study hereby tries to find an understanding of the tendency of the meaning expansion obtained through metaphors and the principle of synchronization with the body's interactions.
