이 글은 18세기 상주권 江岸學의 지식문화적 수용 및 확장성을 權相一(1679-1759)의 사례를 통해 진단하고, 그 의의를 규명하는 데 주안점이 있다. 권상일을 분석의 대상으로 삼은 것은 18세기 영남학파에서 지니는 그의 학자·관료적 위상에 근거하고, 특히 근기남인계 학인들과의 활발했던 교유관계는 영남학의 수용성 및 확장성을 가늠할 수 있는 척도가 되기에 손색이 없기 때문이다. 키워드의 하나인 수용성은 근기남인계 학인의 지적 욕구의 흡입, 또 그들이 온축한 지적 자산에 대한 관심과 ‘받아들임’의 양상으로 풀이할 수 있고, 확장성은 권상일의 학자적 역할이 근기남인계 학계에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는가를 진단하는 과정으로 해석할 수 있다. 결과적으로 이 연구는 ‘鄭蘊-李元翼’, ‘河弘度-許穆’, ‘裵尙瑜-柳馨遠’, ‘李玄逸-丁時翰’으로 이어지는 영남과 근기의 정치·학문적 제휴와 소통이라는 역사적 맥락을 보다 선명하게 포착하는 사례가 될 것으로 본다.
Abstract
This paper focuses on diagnosing the cultural and intellectual acceptance and expansion of Gang-an hak in Sangju area in the 18th century through the case of Kwon Sang-il, aiming to clarify its significance. Kwon Sang-il is chosen as the subject of analysis based on his scholarly and bureaucratic status within the Yeongnam School during the 18th century. Notably, his active exchange with scholars from Geun-gi Southerners serves as a crucial measure of the acceptance and expansion of Yeongnam scholarship. One of the key concepts, acceptance, can be interpreted as the intellectual appetite of the scholars from Geun-gi Southerners, their interest in the intellectual assets they accumulated, and the manner of their "embracing" of the knowledge. Expansion, on the other hand, can be understood as the process of diagnosing how Kwon Sang-il's scholarly role influenced the academic community of Geun-gi Southerners. Ultimately, this study aims to provide a clearer representation of the historical context of the political and academic affiliations and communication between Yeongnam and Geun-gi, as exemplified by the relationships among figures such as Jeong On - Lee Won-ik, Ha Hong-do - Heo Mok, Bae Sang-yu - Yu Hyeong-won, and Lee Hyeon-il - Jeong Si-han.
