‘한강학’에 대한 연구가 진전됨에 따라 그 사상적 특징에 대해 회통성, 독창성, 실천성으로 보고된 바, 이러한 특징이 하나의 ‘학’적 정체성으로 정립되기 위해서는 그 구체적인 내용이 무엇인지에 대한 고민이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 지금의 연구를 확대하고 보다 깊은 분석과 논의가 있어야 한다. 그런 점에서 이 글은 상주권의 한강 문인에 대한 대체적인 윤곽을 그려본 것에 지나지 않는다. 상주권은 좌우로 강과 산이 있는 동저서고의 지형으로, 여기에는 상주를 비롯한 문경, 예천, 풍기, 의성 등이 속한다. 이 지역의 유학은 퇴계학의 자장 속에 있다. 특히 류성룡에게서 정경세로 이어지는 학맥이 중심에 자리하고, 김성일에게서 이상정으로 이어지는 학맥이 그 세를 확장하고 있다. 여기에 기호학과 남명학의 소통 또한 열려 있기에 다양한 학문이 통합될 수 있는 여건이 마련되어 있었다. 이 지역에 한강 문인은 모두 18명으로 확인되는데, 이들은 정구의 문하에만 나아간 것이 아닌 앞서 언급한 다양한 문파에 출입하며 학문적 교유를 했던 것으로 확인된다. 따라서 이들의 학문에는 기존 연구에서 확인된 회통성과 실천성이 공유되면서 서애-우복학맥의 호상학적 색채에 敬學으로 대표되는 심학적 경향이 강하게 나타나는 특징을 보여준다.
Abstract
As research on "Hangang-Hak" progresses, it has been reported as "comprehensiveness," "originality," and "practicality" for its philosophical characteristics, and in order for these characteristics to be established as a "academic" identity, it is necessary to consider what the specific content is. To do this, current research must be expanded and further analyzed and discussed. In that respect, this article is nothing more than a general outline of the Sang-Ju Region's Han-Gang's Students. The Sang-Ju Region is a low east and high west due to rivers and mountains from the left and right, and this includes Sangju, Mungyeong, Yecheon, Punggi, and Uiseong. Confucianism in this area is in the magnetic field of Toegye-Hak. In particular, the academic background from Ryu, Seong-ryong to Jeong, Gyeong-se is at the center, and the academic background from Kim, Seong-il to Yi, Sang-jeong is expanding its power. Here, communication between semiotics and Nammyung-Hak was also open, so various studies could be integrated. A total of 18 Han-Gang's students in this area are identified, and it is confirmed that they did academic exchange by entering the various aforementioned schools, not just under the guidance of Jeong-Gu. Therefore, their studies share the comprehensivenes and practicality identified in the previous studies, while showing a strong tendency towards 'Mind and Heart Learning' represented by Ching-Hak in the Huxiang School colors of the group from Seoae-Ubok.
