The purpose of this study is to investigate the needs and perceptions on mobile learning of the learners who study Korean as a foreign language. Since there are a few studies on mobile learning, the current is one of the first studies that examine the needs and perceptions on mobile learning among a large amount of Korean learners. 614Korean learners from 35 countries in four programs of Y University in Korea participated in this study. We analyzed the results according to the following three factors: 1) overall needs and perceptions of the learners, 2) differences in perceptions by their native language groups, 3) differences in perceptions by their proficiency in Korean. To analyze the first factor, we used frequency analysis and to analyze the second and the third, we employed multiple-response crosstabs and chi-square tests using SPSS 21.0.
