베트남어권 한국어 학습자의 요청화행 실현양상에 관한 연구

이 연구의 목적은 베트남인 한국어 학습자의 요청 화행 실현 양상을 살펴보고 이를 통해서 베트남인 학습자의 화용 능력 향상을 위한 교수-학습적 방향을 논의하는 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해서 본 연구는 화행 연구에서 가장 많이 사용되는 담화완성형테스트(Discourse Completion Test/DCT) 자료수집방법을 활용하였다. DCT에 응답한 연구 대상자는 토픽 자격증 4급 이상을 소지하는 39명의 베트남인 한국어 학습자이다. 연구 결과, 주화행의 경우 베트남인 학습자들은 대체로 직접 요청 전략에 비해 간접 요청 전략을 더 선호한 것으로 나타났다. 베트남인 학습자들이 친밀도가 낮은 상황에 비해 친밀도가 높은 상황에서 더 많은 요청 전략을 사용한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 친밀도가 높은 상황에서만 나타났지만 친밀도가 낮은 상황에서는 나타나지 않거나(담화표지 전략, 농담하기 전략, 비난하기 전략 등), 반대로 친밀도가 낮은 경우에만 나타난 전략들(양해 구하기/자기소개)도 있었다. 따라서 베트남인 학습자들을 위해 다양한 요청 주화행 전략을 나타낼 수 있는 요청 화행 문형 교육이 필요하다. 또한, 베트남인 학습자들을 대상으로 요청 화행을 교육할 때 화-청자 간의 친밀도나 사회적 지위 등 다양한 변인을 포함시켜 적절한 상황에서 적절한 요청 화행 전략을 사용할 수 있도록 교육을 진행할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine the usage of request speech act’s strategies of Vietnamese Korean learners, and to discuss the implications of improving their pragmatic abilities. In order to achieve this purpose, this study used the most commonly used Discourse Completion Test (DCT) data collection method in speech act research. The respondents to the DCT were 39 Vietnamese learners of Korean language with a Topik Certificate of Grade 4 or higher. Studies have shown that in the scenarios of head act, Vietnamese learners generally preferred indirect request strategies over direct request strategies. Vietnamese learners were found to have used more request strategies in cases of high intimacy, compared to those with low intimacy. In addition, there were strategies that appeared only in situations where intimacy was high, but did not appear in situations where intimacy was low (such as discourse cover strategies, joking strategies, criticizing strategies) and, on the contrary, only when intimacy was low (understanding/self-introduction). Therefore, for Vietnamese learners, we need a request painting style education that can represent various strategies for making various requests. Moreover, it is necessary to educate Vietnamese learners on the speech act of request so that they can use appropriate strategies in appropriate situations by including various variables such as intimacy and social status.
