본 연구는 국내 대학 글쓰기센터의 운영 현황을 검토하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 따라서 국내 6개 대학에 설립되어 활발하게 운영되고 있는 글쓰기센터의 운영 현황, 구체적으로 ‘기본 정보, 역할, 이용자, 상담자(튜터), 교과와의 연계’ 등에 초점을 맞추어 이를 면밀하게 살펴보았다. 먼저 선행 연구 검토를 통해 글쓰기센터의 개념, 역할과 조건에 대해 정리하였다. 그러고 나서 본 연구에서는 비교적 활발하게 운영되고 있는 ‘고려대학교, 동국대학교 경주캠퍼스, 서강대학교, 서울시립대학교, 카이스트, 한성대학교’의 6개 대학 글쓰기센터를 연구 대상으로 하여, 홈페이지 조사, 담당자 심층 인터뷰의 방법으로 운영 현황을 조사하였다. 조사 결과는 글쓰기센터의 기본 정보, 역할, 이용자, 상담자, 교과와의 연계의 다섯 가지 층위로 나누어 분석하였다. 이러한 분석 결과를 통해, 본 연구에서는 국내 대학 글쓰기센터가 나아가야 할 방향과 관련하여 네 가지 제언을 하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate operation status on ‘college writing center’ in Korea. First, In literature review, this study explored the concept, role, and conditions of college writing center. After that, this study found out operation status on 6 college writing centers in each University(Korea University, Dongguk University(Gyeongju), Sogang University, University of Seoul, Kaist, Hansung University) through interview method. All of these centers are college writing centers which are operated actively. This study used interview method(telephone interviews or face-to-face interviews). Concretely, operation status which this study investigated meant ‘basic information, role, user, tutor, link with writing curriculum’. Through this investigation, I proposed a direction of college writing center in Korea. I proposed four suggestions.
