초록

This study utilized the NVivo program to code all posts shared on Ecomusicology-List (ECL), allowing the extraction of trends and methodologies in ecomusicology research. ‘Sustainability’ emerges as the dominant discourse within ECL, guiding the directions and attitudes pursued in ecomusicology. This discourse is broadly categorized into two attitudes: critical and socio-practical, which are referred to as eco-critical and socio-practical approaches. The specific methodologies extracted include ‘soundscape,’ ‘multispecies ethnography,’ and ‘scientific ecology’ (or acoustic ecology). These methodologies are not mutually exclusive but are pursued collaboratively. They reflect efforts to preserve biological diversity, challenge the perception of music as a human-exclusive domain, and creatively confront excessive anthropocentric values.
