Abstract

This thesis examines how the poems of Namgye Pyoyeunmal's (藍溪 表沿沫:1449-1498) are linked with life, and what the spiritual sphere in his poetry is. The characteristics of his poems can be summarized into several things. He hope pursuit learning himself to his studies with his amusement. Even if he advocated moral philosophy at political affairs, he exhibited his sportive instinct in his poetry. Several his poems involved dualistic of ethics and amusement. He accomplish(carry out) from the fundamental property of human beings through filial piety and loyalty. He promoted practical morals. He emphasized practice filial piety toward whose's parents and allegiance to whose's country. This is similar to Mingtz[孟子]. In his poetry which grieved Noigye Yuhoin[㵢溪 兪好仁] who was an appreciative friend Namgye's has described sibling truth. It is the destitution of reality and the vast-flowing spirit of the ego. He lived a life of distress himself but his spirit was wide. It is the affirmation of reality and pursuit of the ideal world. His home of spirit was the virtual idealism. An ultimate goal of his life was unity of nature and man. It is the expression of the simple spirit of the classical scholar. He carried out Wigizihak(爲己之學) standing on the simple spirit of the classical scholar. With this Wigizihak, we can correspond nature and human beings. Lastly, he put superior to the spirit rather than reason and character.
