본고는 용암(龍巖) 박운(朴雲: 1493- 1532)의 삶과 그의 시에 나타난 정신세계를 고찰하는 것을 목표로 하였다.용암 박운이 교유(交遊)한 이는 주로 영남 지방의 선비들이었다. 문집에 실려 있는 선비만도 20여명이나 된다. 특히 영남을 대표할만한 선비인 회재(晦齋) 이언적(李彦迪), 퇴계(退溪) 이황(李滉), 송당(松堂) 박영(朴英), 구암(龜岩) 이정(李楨), 진락당(眞樂堂) 김취성(金就成) 등과 교분을 쌓았다. 이는 용암(龍巖)의 학문과 인품이 그만큼 높은 수준에 이르렀음을 입증하는 것이다.용암의 시에 나타난 정신세계는 ① 소박한 선비정신의 표출이다. 그는 선비정신을 바탕으로 위기지학(爲己之學)을 수행하였다. ②현실의 궁핍과 자아의 호연성(浩然性)이다. 자신이 비록 궁핍한 생활을 하였지만, 그 정신만은 드넓었다. ③현실의 긍정과 이상향의 추구이다. 그가 바라는 마음의 고향은 도덕적 이상주의였다. ④역사를 통한 정명주의(正名主義)를 강조하고 있다. 그는 대부송(大夫松)을 통하여 선(善)과 불선(不善)의 인과(因果)를 묘사하고 있다. ⑤끝으로 그는 이(理)나 성(性)보다는 심(心)에 우위를 두었다. 그의 자양심학론(紫陽心學論)에서, 그는 ‘심통성정설(心統性情說)’을 다루고 있다. 이 사실은 그의 이러한 생각을 뒷받침하고 있다. 이점에 대해서는 앞으로 다른 논문에서 소상히 밝힐 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims at investigating the life of Yongam Park woon(龍巖 朴雲) and the spiritual sphere in his poetry. Yongam associated with classical scholars of Yeongnam region. There are about 20 scholars in collection of his works. Especially, he was intimate with the scholars―Hoejae Lee eon-jeok(晦齋 李彦迪), Toegye Lee hwang(退溪 李滉), Songdang Park yeong(松堂 朴英), Guam Lee jeong((龜岩 李楨), Jinrakdang Kim chwi-seong(眞樂堂 金就成)― who represent Yeongnam. This proves his study and personality reached to high level. Here are the spiritual sphere in Yongam's poetry. ① It is the expression of the simple spirit of the classical scholar. He carried out Wigizihak(爲己之學) standing on the simple spirit of the classical scholar. ② It is the destitution of reality and the vast-flowing spirit(浩然性) of the ego. He lived a life of distress himself but his spirit was wide. ③ It is the affirmation of reality and pursuit of the ideal world. His home of spirit was the virtual idealism. ④ It emphasizes to uphold the cause of loyalty(正名主義) through history. He describes the cause and effect of virtue and evil through 「Daebusong(大夫松)」. ⑤ Lastly, he put superior to the spirit rather than reason and character. The quotation 'the spirit rules the reason and sensibility((心統性情說)' supports this. I hope it to be complemented by someone who majored in philosophy.
