本稿は、日本語の語彙に現れた文化的背景と日本人の論理とを明らかにすることを目的にする。語彙にはその国の文化が多く反映されている。また、その言葉を使う人々のものの見方や社会の多様な特徴などがよく現れている。日本語の語彙の特徴にとして、仏教や武士、武器などとの関連語が多く、人間関係に関する多様な語彙が発達している。調査の結果、｢世間｣と｢内･外｣という語は日本人の思考方式や行動様式と強く結び付いていて、単なる一つの語ではなく、幅広く深い概念や意味を持っていると言える。そして、具体的な例として｢贈答｣という行為が｢晴れ･穢れ･公｣という場で、｢建前･義理｣という価値観や情緒と結び付き、｢外｣の領域で働いていることを明らかにした。それは、｢贈答｣という行動を通して、良好な人間関係を維持しようとする日本人の内部論理によるものであると思われる。
Abstract
InThis paper aims to clarify the cultural background and the logic of the Japanese people that appeared in the Japanese vocabulary. The vocabulary reflects a lot of the country's culture. In addition, people who use the word often see things and various characteristics of society. As a characteristic of Japanese vocabulary, there are many related words such as Buddhism, samurai, and weapons, and various vocabulary related to human relationships is developed. As a result of the survey, the words "Seken" and "Uchi/Soto" are strongly linked to the Japanese way of thinking and behavior, and they are not just one word, but have a wide range of deep concepts and meanings. This seems to be due to the internal logic of Japanese people who try to maintain good relationships through the action of "gift-giving."
