Recurrence is a cohesive device which can direct repetition of linguistic elements. When it comes to translating, recurrence is a major source of morphological change, and it appears differently in each language. Recurrence as a device that produces stylistic effects such as the author's attitude and the psychological state of the characters in the novel, beyond the usual grammatical and lexical binding functions and rhetorical functions. This study attempts to ascertain how the device of cohesion works in the destination text through the translation process.
