『동의보감』 탕액편에 반영된 한자음 연구
A Study on the Change Pattern of Sino-Korean in 『Donguibogam』

This paper has addressed aspects of changes in Sino-Korean sounds and their causes by finding out examples showing unique changes, through comparing and examining Sino-Korean sounds in Korean-translated medical books with modern Sino-Korean sounds. Since most phonological phenomena in Korean are reflected and appear in Sino-Korean sounds, there are unique Sino-Korean examples that cannot be explained as changes by phonological phenomena. For example, 玄胡索 appears as ‘현호삭(Hyeonhosak)’ in 『Eonhae Taesanjibyo (諺解胎産集要)』 but as ‘현호색(Hyeonhosaek)’ in Great Standard Korean Dictionary. This clearly shows sound difference between ‘삭(sak)’ and ‘색(saek)’. We can conjecture that sound difference in this Sino-Korean word has resulted from thechange by misreading due to poor recognition of the multiple sounds in ‘索’. With those Sino-Korean sounds in 『Donguibogam』 as its objects this paper has found out examples showing unique changes and classified and discussed them as they have similar aspects of change.
