既望泛舟，心随境转 — ≪赤壁赋≫对金允植汉诗创作的影响

The literary creation of the ancient Korean Peninsula was deeply influenced by Chinese literature. After Su Shi’s the Red Cliff Ode(赤壁赋) was spread to the Korean Peninsula, many literati imitated Su Shi’s boating on the Red Cliff, even “the 16th day of a lunar month(既望)” and “boating(泛舟)” have become symbols of reminiscing about the Red Cliff Ode. Kim Yunsik(김윤식), a literati in the late Joseon Dynasty, was also influenced by the Red Cliff Ode in his creation of Chinese poetry. The emotional expressions change with different circumstances. Kim Yunsik’s Chinese poetry about the Red Cliff also unfolded different emotions at different stages of his life. These emotions are natural enjoyment and historical consciousness in his youth, freeing from corruption and contributing to the whole society during his tenure as an official, concerning for the national fate and positive attitude in exile. This is the product of spiritual exchange between Chinese and Korean literati that transcends time and space. As the proverb goes, a straw shows which way the wind blows. While Chinese culture has had a profound impact on literary creation of the Korean Peninsula, Korean literati have also demonstrated their unique literary creativity through dialectical reception.
Abstract
The literary creation of the ancient Korean Peninsula was deeply influenced by Chinese literature.
