초록

The denominal verb in ancient Chinese was a very useful and productive construction. In particular, since the zero-derivation denominal verb was free in terms of morphology, its utilization was very high and its types were also very diverse. The miner argument types examined in this paper also shows productivity and usefulness as well as the main argument types, which is summarized as follows. First, ‘instrument types’ have the largest number of participating verbs among miner argument types are the most typical denominal verbs. Participating verbs participating in this were divided into ‘daily life instrument type’, ‘body part type’, and ‘abstract type’, and showed that various thematic roles were realized in various syntactic forms. And packaging/attachments are a type that Clark & Clark (1979) carefully discussed earlier, and have a unique difference compared to instrument and location-time types. Above all, it shows the characteristic of fusion by packaging or attaching an object that appears as an object. Location-time types are divided into location type and time type, and the root noun is realized as the place, residence, container, and time where the motion occurs. ‘pat’ or ‘locative’ is used as the thematic role, but it was realized as an object or prepositional phrase that represents a place or an object to be operated. Finally, in the case of directional movement type, the thematic role is ‘locative’ because the root noun implies direction and movement, but most of them show an intransitivity that is not well realized in syntax. As such, each sub-cxn of the denominal verb cxn is an independent sub-cxn, realizing its own constructional meaning, while forming a network with each other to form a more complex constructional network. Based on the above sub-cxn situations established in this paper, a follow-up study will look at the networking situation between sub-cxns, and it is expected that through this work, the activity of the denominal verb cxn in ancient Chinese period can be illuminated with great certainty.
