초록
The denominal verbs of Archaic Chinese has lasted until modern Chinese. The denominal verbs are originally derived from nouns without changing their form. At the time of Archaic Chinese, this was already hundreds of them, and it was very prevalent. In general, since Archaic Chinese is viewed as an isolated language, the denominal verb was viewed only as a conversion. However, in recent years, the modification of Archaic Chinese has been studied by many scholars, and various prefixes, suffixes, and inflectional affixes have been discovered. Thus, the denominal verb was viewed from a new perspective. The denominal verbs of Archaic Chinese is largely divided into ‘derivation’ and ‘zero-derivation’. Among them, derivation is the addition of visible affixes or refractive affixes, on the other hand, zero derivation actually has an invisible affix. Denominal verbs in Archaic Chinese can be classified according to the meaning type of the root noun. Denominal verbs are also divided into fixed and temporary usage. Traditionally, temporary uses have been classified separately. However, this is a kind of ‘innovation’ that emerges in the process of changing one meaning to another(semanticization). Therefore, this paper sees it as a kind of continuous process. Denominal verbs are generally divided into four categories: natural type, artificial & social type, spatial type, and abstract type. Each of the root nouns becomes a denominal verb through a metonymical action suitable for their conceptual domain. Exploring their verbalization process will continue in the next study.
