Abstract
The digital democracy platform is utilizing ICT technology to solve the democratic problems of existing parties. In particular, digital parties are ultimately pursuing political innovation by drastically solving the problems of democracy within the party, such as representation, accountability and deliberation. Various discussions of positivity and negativity are under way, but no empirical research has yet been conducted. Through the Five Star Movement in Italy and the Podemos in Spain, the article sought to examine the results of the actual operation of democracy within the digital party. According to the results of the study, it is hard to say that the digital democracy platform is more democratic than the existing political parties.
