본 논문은 현대 복지자본주의 사회가 나름의 소외극복 논리로 제시하는 분배 패러다임을 통해서는 현재 우리가 당면하고 있는 소외의 문제를 넘어설 수 없음을 비판적으로 인식한다. 그리하여 부조 방식의 분배, 소득적 지원정책, 일자리 창출 등만으로는 소외를 야기하는 근본적인 해결을 기대하기 어렵다는 점을 지적하고, 현대사회가 당면한 소외 문제는 타자성, 관계성, 공동체적 책임 의식 등을 의식하는 속에서 사회구조적 차원을 고려하여 다루어져야 함을 강조한다. 이 같은 문제를 효과적으로 논의하기 위해 본 논문에서는 다음과 같은 방식을 취한다. 첫째, 아이리스 영과 낸시 프레이저 등의 여성철학자들이 제안하는 차이에 기반하는 정의 논리에 주목하여 현대 복지자본주의사회의 소외 극복논리로서의 분배패러다임의 한계를 비판적으로 고찰한다. 둘째, 현대 복지자본주의 사회에서 이루어지는 고른 분배를 통한 정의 실현을 유교적 분배정의와 비교하여 논의하면서, 유교적 분배패러다임이 갖는 한계점을 드러낸다. 셋째, 소외 문제를 해결하기 위한 대안을 관계적 자아, 공동체성, 선한 인간본성, 도덕감정 등에 입각하는 유교적 정의론 안에서 모색한다.
Abstract
This thesis critically recognizes that we cannot overcome the problem of alienation through the distribution paradigm suggested by the modern welfare capitalistic society. Therefore, the author points out that distribution through aid, income subsidy policies, job creation cannot be expected to provide a fundamental solution to the problem of alienation in the society. The thesis also emphasizes that the alienation issue must be dealt with from a social structural dimension, while being conscious of the other, relationships, and communal responsibility. To effectively discuss such issues, this thesis takes the following approaches. First, the thesis critically reflects on the limitation of the distribution paradigm by focusing on the logic of justice, which is based upon the difference, suggested by feminist philosophers such as Iris Young and Nancy Fraser. Second, limitations of Confucian distribution paradigm are revealed, while comparing the Confucian distribution logic that focuses on justice through equal distribution with the distribution in modern welfare capitalistic society. Third, the thesis searches for a solution for alienation within the Confucian theory of justice, which is grounded upon relational self, communal spirit, the intrinsic good nature of human, and ethical feelings.
