본 연구는 정책이슈인 정보격차에 대한 인식양태의 분석하였고, 이를 기초로 정보격차해소방안을 제시하였다. 유비쿼터스시대에는 장애인 등 정보소외계층만이 아니라 공무원, 주부 등 일반계층의 사람들도 정보격차에 노정될 가능성이 크다는 점을 감안하여 일반인을 연구대상으로 분석하였다. 인식양태는 설문분석에 근거한 LISREL기법을 활용하였고, 접근-몰입-활용(AII)관점에서 분석하였다. 분석결과, 정보격차를 해소하기 위해서는 컴퓨터 및 인터넷사용자가 인터넷이나 컴퓨터의 활용능력을 기초로 활용동기와 관심을 가지고 일상생활이나 업무수행을 하도록 유도하는 것이 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 업무수행(performance)요소가 가장 중요한 변수로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제시된 AII모형은 정보격차에 관한 설명모형으로서 적실성있는 것으로 나타났으며, 논문말미에 연구결과를 토대로 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.
Abstract
This paper suggested policy alternatives for bridging digital divide based on analyses of cognition patterns on digital divide. Cognition patterns were analyzed from general people not others from information isolated layers, based upon access, involvement & interaction (AII) perspectives, by utilizing the LISREL method with survey analyses. Results showed that the core solution for bridging the digital divide is to urge computer or internet users to lead their daily lives or conduct their works with motives, concerns, and interest, based on their capabilities for the utilization of internet or computer. _____________________________ * This work was supported by Korea Research Foundation Grant (KRF-2003-002-B00331) The AII perspectives presented in this research represents an applicable explanatory model on digital divide.
