인도네시아어 철자법(EBI)에서 제5차 완성 철자법(EYD V)으로의 변화:단어 표기를 중심으로

본 연구는 인도네시아어 철자법(EBI)에서 제5차 완성 철자법(EYD V)으로의 변화를 단어 표기 측면에서 고찰하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 인도네시아어 로마자 철자법의 변천 과정을 먼저 살핀 후 인도네시아어 철자법과 제5차 완성 철자법을 단어 표기 측면에서 비교, 분석하였다. 또한, 이와 더불어 제5차 완성 철자법의 개선할 점도 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 기술의 일관성 및 구체성 부족, 불필요하거나 중복된 기술 등 인도네시아어 철자법의 제 문제가 제5차 완성 철자법에서 수정, 보완되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 예시 제시의 일관성 부족, 사전 내용과의 불일치 등 제5차 완성 철자법의 개선할 점도 확인할 수 있었다. 인도네시아어의 최신 철자법을 다룬 본 연구의 결과는 인도네시아어 교육 현장에서 쓰기 교육의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 인도네시아어 철자법과 말레이어 철자법 간의 비교 자료로도 쓰일 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
This study analyzes transformation from the original Indonesian Spelling System (EBI) to the Fifth Edition of the Enhanced Spelling of the Indonesian Language (EYD V) in terms of word spelling. To this end, it examines changes in the Romanization of the Indonesian language and compares the original EBI with EYD V in terms of word spelling. Subsequently, it examines matters to be improved for EYD V. The analytic results showed that EYD V provides revised and supplemented contents compared to the original EBI by improving issues, such as a lack of consistency and concreteness in descriptions, unnecessary or duplicated descriptions, et cetera. Furthermore, it was found that EYD V exhibits areas for improvement regarding issues, such as insufficient consistency in the presentation of examples and discrepancies in the details of lexical descriptions. The findings of this study regarding the latest Indonesian spelling system are expected to practically serve as base data for Indonesian writing education and as significant data to compare Indonesian orthography with Malay orthography.
