This paper gave a thorough introduction of the dictionary editor used to edit Korea University Korean Dictionary by introducing its mechanism, function as well as its limitations. Chapter2 first mentioned the development process of the dictionary editor and then introduced its construction and function by the following 4 parts: 'input part', 'searching part', 'output part', and 'management part'. Chapter3focused on the features and limitations of the dictionary editor under examination. And finally this paper proposed that since the dictionary in need in this multi-media era should be diverse, segmental, systematic, interconnected, and quick to response, a dictionary editor should therefore have maximum receptivity,maximum segmentability, minimum redundancy, maximum flexibility and efficiency for editing.
