Kontrolle über mehrfache Subjekte in der koreanischen Technischen Dokumentation

한국어 기술문서를 통제언어의 관점에서 다룰 때, 한국어에서 자주 사용되는 다중주어구문은 번역성의 측면에서 심각한 문제를 초래한다. 예를 들어 “우리 제품이 가격이 20%가 저렴하다”와 같은 다중주어구문은 문법적 주어를 하나만 허용하는 인도유럽어족의 특징과 비교할 때 번역작업에서 상당한 정도의 어려움을 야기하며, 이는 뒤따르는 후편집의 작업부담을 가중시킬 뿐 아니라 기계번역의 품질과 직결되기도 한다. 이러한 번역상의 문제를 해결하기 위해 먼저 다중중어구문의 아홉 가지 유형을 개괄하고 이들 구문의 술어가 갖는 주요 의미가 ‘속성 지시적 술어’이며, 이들 술어가 구조적으로는 가까운 주어와 결합하여 하나의 문장구조를 만들지만 전체가 다시 하나의 술어처럼 또 다른 주어를 요구할 수 있는 ‘문장적 술어’라는 특징을 분석하였다. 또한 이러한 다중주어 들은 그 위치에 따라 주제어와 문법주어라는 서로 다른 기능을 담당하고 있으며, 흔히 이들 이들 주어 사이에 ‘전체-부분’ 관계가 성립되고 있음을 주목하였다. 이러한 분석결과에 따라 한국어 기술문서에서 흔히 나타나는 다중중어 구문들을 통제할 수 있는 제약규칙들이 형식화된다. 첫 번째 유형인 ‘속성 지시적 술어’에 의한 다중주어구문의 경우 문법적 층위에서 제약규칙에 의해 완전히 금지되며, 하위규칙들에 따라 다음과 같이 통제된다. 즉, 문장서두의 주어에는 주제어 표지 -은/는 이 할당되거나 다음 주어들과의 관계에 따라 소유격 표지 -의가 할당된다. 속성 값이나 시간, 장소 등을 지시하는 주어는 부사어로 다시 쓰여야 하며, 술어와 가장 가까운 주어만이 문법적 주어로서 주격을 할당받게 된다. 이러한 문법기능어의 격 재할당을 통해 다중주어구문을 번역 가능한 문장으로 재작성할 수 있다. 두 번째 유형의 다중주어구문인 기능동사구조의 경우 어휘 층위의 제약규칙을 통해 사전에서 미리 통제하여, 서술명사의 단순동사형태만을 사용하도록 제약한다. 이를 통해 구어적으로 흔히 사용되는 다중주어구문이 번역 가능한 단순동사 구문으로 일관되게 바뀔 수 있다. 제약규칙을 적용한 문제유형의 문장들의 번역성은 번역프로그램 ‘노띠’를 통해 검증된다.
