본 연구는 유치원과 초등학교 교육현장에서 활용하고 있는 역할놀이의 내용과 실태를 분석하는데 목적이 있었다. 먼저 ‘분석범주’를 구성하고 이를 근거로 유치원과 초등학교 교육현장에서 활용하고 있는 교육과정해설서, 교사용지도서 그리고 교과서에 나타난 역할놀이 내용을 비교 분석하였다. 이어서 유치원과 초등학교의 역할놀이 활용 실태를 조사하기 위한 설문지를 구성하고 유치원과 초등학교 교사 총 252명을 연구대상으로 선정하여 설문지에 반응하도록 하였다. 수집된 연구자료는 χ²-검증을 사용하여 집단 간의 차이를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 유치원과 초등학교 교육과정해설서, 교사용지도서, 교과서에 나타난 역할놀이 내용은 유형, 주제, 놀이방법, 놀이자료, 그리고 교사의 역할 영역에서 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 교육현장에서의 역할놀이 활용 실태도 역할놀이의 목표, 활용 영역 및 주제, 방법, 놀이자료, 교사의 역할 그리고 역할놀이의 효과 영역에서 유치원과 초등학교 간에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
Abstract
This study analyzes and compares the content of children's role play, as it is presented in kindergarten curriculum manuals, teacher guides, and textbooks, with the content presented in elementary school curriculum manuals, guides and textbooks. It then compares the practice of role play in kindergarten with that in elementary school. A questionnaire on role play practices in kindergarten and elementary school was developed and used in the collection of the data. The subjects used in this study were 252 kindergarten and elementary school teachers. An χ²-test was used to analyze the data. The results of this study show that there were differences between kindergarten and elementary school on the content of role play in the categories under the analytical criteria used, and also, that there were significant differences between kindergarten and elementary school role play practices in the areas of necessity and purpose of role play, method, the role of the teacher and role play material.
