본 연구는 디자인씽킹 기반 유아교육현장연계 프로젝트의 설계 및 실행 사례를 분석하고, 그에따른 적용방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 아동학 관련 전공에 재학 중인 대학생과 대학원생16명을 대상으로 유치원 및 어린이집과 연계한 프로젝트를 운영하였으며, 디자인씽킹의 공감, 문제 정의, 아이디어 발상, 프로토타입 제작, 테스트의 단계를 적용하였다. 프로젝트 후 만족도 조사, 성찰일지, 협력기관 피드백 등의 양적․질적 자료를 분석한 결과, 프로젝트는 학습자의 공감 능력, 문제 해결력, 창의성 등의 역량을 향상시켰으며, 실제 현장 적용에서도 긍정적인 반응이 나타났다. 그에 따라 프로젝트 운영 사례와 학습자 및 협력기관의 피드백을 토대로 사전준비, 프로젝트 실행, 평가의 세 단계로 구조화하고, 교수자-학습자-협력기관 간 협력, 단계별 학습 지원 도구, 실행기반 피드백 전략을 포함한 적용 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 디자인씽킹 기반 교육 실천의 구체적 방향을 제시하고, 교사양성기관에서의 활용 가능성에 대한 시사점을 도출하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to analyze a design thinking-based project linked to early childhood education settings and to propose strategies for its application. The project was conducted with 16 undergraduate and graduate students majoring in child-related disciplines, in collaboration with kindergartens and daycare centers. The project followed the phases of design thinking—empathizing, defining problems, ideating, prototyping, and testing. Quantitative and qualitative data, including satisfaction surveys, reflection journals, and feedback from partner institutions, were analyzed after the project. The results showed that the project enhanced learners’ competencies in empathy, problem-solving, and creativity, and received positive responses in its practical application. Based on the project implementation cases and stakeholder feedback, this study proposed a three-phase application strategies consisting of preparation, execution, and evaluation. The suggested strategies emphasized collaboration among instructors, learners, and institutions, the provision of step-by-step learning support tools, and feedback mechanisms grounded in practice. These findings offer a concrete direction for implementing design thinking in teacher education and suggest its practical applicability in pre-service teacher training programs.
