본 연구는 유아교사효능감이 놀이지원역량에 미치는 영향을 확인하고, 세계시민교육역량의 매개효과와 조절효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구대상은 D시에 소재한 어린이집 및 유치원에 재직 중인 유아교사 259명이었다. 자료 분석을 위해 SPSS 21.0과 PROCESS Macro 4.1을 사용하여 매개효과와 조절효과를 실시하였으며, 분석결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, 유아교사의 교사효능감과 놀이지원역량 간의 관계에서 세계시민교육역량은 부분매개효과를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 교사효능감이 놀이지원 역량에 미치는 영향에서 세계시민교육역량은 조절효과를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유아교사의 교사효능감이 놀이지원역량에 미치는 경로도 유의하였으며 세계시민교육역량의 수준에 따라서 유아교사효능감이 놀이지원역량에 미치는 영향 또한 다르게 나타났다. 이는 유아교사의 교사효능감이 세계시민교육역량을 매개로 놀이지원역량에영향을 미치지만, 세계시민교육역량을 증진시킴으로써 미치는 영향이 달라질 수 있음을 의미한다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과를 통해 논의점, 제한점과 향후 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.
Abstract
This study investigated the mediating and moderating effects of early childhood teachers’ global citizenship education competency on the relationship between their teaching efficacy and play support competency. A survey was conducted with 259 early childhood teachers in D city, South Korea. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.1. The research results are as follows. First, the partial mediating effect of teaching efficacy on play support competency was verified. Second, teachers’ global citizenship education competency moderates the relationship between teaching efficacy and their play support competency. Third, the pathway from teaching efficacy to play support competency was statistically significant. The strength of this relationship varied depending on the level of global citizenship education competency. These findings suggest that teaching efficacy influences their play support competency through their global citizenship education competency. Moreover, enhancing global citizenship education competency may alter the impact of teaching efficacy on play support competency. Finally, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.
