막스 슈티르너는 그의 대표적 저서 『유일자와 그 소유(Der Einzige und sein Eigenthum)』에서 ‘유일자’와 ‘에고이스트연합’을 제안한다. 슈티르너는 억압적 근대성에 대한 저항으로 유일자 개념을 도출한다. 자기창조자인 ‘유일자-나’를 억압하는 국가는 유령과 같은 존재로서 해체되어야 한다. 국가의 대안으로 그는 ‘에고이스트연합’을 제안한다. 에고이스트연합이란 “에고이스트-개인의 자유를 최대한으로 확대하고, 자신의 욕망을 만족시키기 위하여 유일자들 상호간에 평등한 입장에서 협력하는 자유로운 조직”이다. 이 연합은 ‘유일자-나’의 교류와 연대를 통해 결성되는 ‘끊임없는 자기연합’이다. 슈티르너의 ‘유일자’와 ‘에고이스트연합’의 관념은 오늘날 ‘국가를 넘어선 사회’로서 EU를 비롯한 지역주의 설립의 기초 이념이기도 하다. 본고에서는 유일자와 에고이스트연합을 중심으로 슈티르너의 연방사상을 검토한다.
Abstract
Max Stirner propose ‘The Unique One’ and ‘the Union of Egoists’ in his representative book <Der Einzige und sein Eigenthum>. He derive a concept of ‘The Unique One’ to express resistance to oppression of the modernity. In other words, the State should be dismantled as being like a ghost. As an alternative, he propose ‘the Union of Egoists’. The Union of Egoists consider as “a free organization which expands individual freedom as much as possible, and which cooperates among the Unique One in order to satisfy their desire.” This Union is an incessant self-uniting, which organized through exchanges and solidarity of ‘The Unique One-I’. The idea of Steiner ‘The Unique One’ and ‘the Union of Egoist’ is the basic ideology of the regionalism including the EU as ‘a Society beyond the State’. In this article, we review the federal ideology of Stirner, focusing on ‘The Unique One’ and ‘the Union of Egoist’.
